Dormitory Nears Completion

Last year ground was broken, and construction began, on a new dormitory building. The building is nearing completion and should be ready for use around June, 2010.

Typically teams will stay overnight at a hotel in San Pedro Sula. They will drive from the Mission field location to San Pedro the night before they fly back to the US. This splits the team up into rooms of two for a night, and costs money that could otherwise be used to care for Hondurans.

When the dormitory, or "Team House," is complete, teams will spend their overnight in the dormitory for free, and spend more time together as a team, recapping their Mission week.

The dormitory includes rooms for men and women, bathing facilities, and a courtyard.

This is just the latest in a set of buildings, owned by the Mission, being built on the Mission Compound in El Plan, outside of San Pedro Sula. Prior construction included two resident Missionary Family homes, and a warehouse for storing supplies and pharmaceuticals for Mission Teams.
