January 11, 2017 - January 25, 2017: Tyer & Lester Teams

The year started a little crazy here in Honduras with the cancellation of our first team from Clinton, Arkansas, led by John Tyer, due to a snowstorm in Atlanta.  Nevertheless, many team members were able to reschedule their flights and join the other team from Clinton, Arkansas, led by Mike Lester, which was scheduled for the following week.

This combined team stayed in El Plan, where the mission's compound is located, and served the community faithfully.  They held church services every night in the local Assembly of God church and saw patients during the day.  They also conducted a few home visits, with patients too sick to travel.  The team led by Mike Lester serves the community of El Plan every year, and they have developed friendships with many members of the local church.  It was clearly a joy for the the team to be in Honduras and also for the Hondurans to host them this week.  Praise be to God!

During their stay, team members served in the clinic, at church and children's church, and some took part in street evangelism.  Additionally, one of the team members, Al Richardson, came and stayed for two weeks and blessed the mission with a beautiful mural.
